I’ve been a member of Patched Lives Quilt Guild since 1994, but I’ve never been able to participate in one of their retreats until this year. What a great group of ladies!
The retreat is held at a church camp on Green Lake and, although the Autumn colors were not at their peak yet, it was still very pretty.
I’m writing from our lodge with one more morning of stitching and giggles ahead of me – the retreat lasts until tomorrow after lunch. The food here is delicious, but that’s not my favorite part.
I’m getting some fun projects done. Here’s the first one I worked on, in progress, but the sewing isn’t my favorite part.
Many of us have made blocks for a new charity quilt. I love participating, but that’s not it either.
There are so many amazing quilts being made, and there’s lots to learn, but that still isn’t my favorite part.
My favorite part is getting to know all these dear women better!
We’ve shared are hearts, hilarious stories and many laughs.
tonight we even learned to line dance with Jenard!
I’ve enjoyed every minute, and hope to do it again, and again! Thanks to all my wonderful, crazy Patched Lives friends!
PS I haven’t forgotten about my promise to share the quilt-as-you-go technique for the stitched circle blocks. It will be next week’s topic – I promise 😊
